In January of 1991, Benjamin Setter was involved in a motor accident. The injuries sustained left him with a severe spinal curvature. Through a family friend, Benjamin received one Bowen Therapy treatment every week for three months. At the end of this period Benjamin was relieved and surprised to find his spine had straightened.
Impressed with this Bowen Therapeutic Technique, Benjamin attended the Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia (Bowtech) where he received his Diploma of Proficiency in Bowen Therapy that same year. Since then he has worked tirelessly to bring the healing powers of Bowen Therapy to the attention of his community. Benjamin has continued studying in line with the changing face of The Bowen Therapeutic Technique in Australia and has attained a Certificate IV in Bowen Therapy from the Border College Of Natural Therapies.
Cindy Setter has paralleled with her career as a Registered Nurse earning her Diploma of Proficiency in Bowen Therapy from the Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia and a Certificate IV in Bowen Therapy with the Border College of Natural Therapies.
Benjamin’s mother June also gained her qualifications with the Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia (Bowtech) and worked for a number of years in the Ingham and Townsville centres. She has now retired.
Setters Health Centre has had a number of premises since 1991 including Bowen Road, Ingham Road, Charters Towers Road and finally with the current address on Fulham Road.
