BEN SETTER – the young fellow I first met at a Bowen Therapy Course in Cairns 1994 – I was doing my initial course and Ben was continuing to expand his knowledge. It was obvious then that the candle had been lit for Ben’s love and belief in Bowen Therapy. He still, today, has that same enthusiasm. Everybody at the course wanted to be in Ben’s group and I happened to be one of the lucky ones.
We continued to get together at many more BT courses and his help and guidance were readily forthcoming, and much appreciated.
The years rolled by and, even though I had kept myself active, found I had a pain I couldn’t shift. Due to personal reasons, I had given up working with Bowen Therapy. My experiences as a therapist over the time were quite extra-ordinary. The results achieved and the easing of pain, were almost unbelievable.
My thoughts, amidst all the pain, went to my friend, Ben. I prayed that he was still working with Bowen Therapy. To my great relief, I found him in Townsville – Jan 2020. He didn’t hesitate to treat me and he made that wonderful contact and the old friendship rekindled.
It has not been an easy road back to come sort of normality for me, Ben encouraged me all the way. I spent many hours driving to and from Townsville, stopping every 30 minutes to get out of the car and walk for a short time. My gratitude is very profound to Ben and I can now play tennis, exercise, play bowls, etc and do all these things without pain.
Thank God for Ben and Bowen Therapy.

This is honestly the best thing I’ve done for my body. After years of massages and doctors giving me pain killers to deal with my back pain (including tramadol!) I FINALLY feel like I can move and sleep properly! That’s only after three sessions! Benjamin explains everything to you, from how you got into a painful state and how your body is reacting to how every step of treatment is going to improve your condition. I went to see Benjamin because I was 10 days overdue with my first baby and wanted to avoid induction. I had been told bowen therapy could help. I have also had back pain for over 10 years, which I have tried everything from yoga to acupuncture to fix. Not only did I go into labour 8 hours after my treatment, my back pain has completely disappeared for the first time. Have already referred two friends since my visit.

I like going to Setters Health Centre. I had a knee replacement, they were so good to me and helped me gain strength in my muscles again. I had another knee replacement only this time the op went wrong. So back to Setter’s I go…Because they were so good to me this time, for I had drop foot again. They looked after me and gave me all the encouragement I needed. I recommend them because they are so good at what they do. I can now walk with ease.

I went to Setters Health Centre a few weeks ago in a world of back pain. Barely mobile. The treatment from Benjamin is non invasive, effective and relaxing. Benjamin is entertaining which really helps when you are in pain and depressed with it all. He truly has healing powers in his hands. I cannot thank him enough. Due to my employment I have suffered back and shoulder injuries throughout my career. Bowen Therapy has not only reduced discomfort but also the cause of these injuries. I have lived with Chronic pain now for over 6 years due to a work place accident where I broke my neck in 2 places and injured my lower back. I have tried lots of different things to ease the pain like increasing my medication,physio every week, acupuncture and chiro which I got slight relief. My partner suggested for me to try Bowen Therapy which I finally succumb to as I am the biggest sceptic. Eventually I thought why not Give it a try I have tried everything else to get pain relief and spent thousands in the process, what did I have to loose. I was amazed, after only a few sessions with Ben and Cindy I was starting to get some relief from pain, it was weird they hardly seemed to touch me but wow the relief is unreal, I could not believe I was getting relief from pain, over the next 2 weeks I was seeing Ben twice a week and was getting better and better, I have even forgot to take my medication on a number of occasions, I cannot thank them enough, they have given me my life back. I have now seen Ben and Cindy on 12 occasions and I feel great. I am even decreasing my pain medication which I never thought would ever happen. I would recommend Bowen Therapy to anyone who is suffering minor pain to Chronic Pain. Give it a go phone Ben or Cindy and get them to do there magic on you.

I have been suffering from a frozen shoulder, very painful and very little movement in my arm. Doctors suggested an operation or Cortisone injection. Another suggestion was Physiotherapy which meant slow treatment for up to 24 months. I contacted Setter"s Health Centre and spoke to Benjamin. Now within 12 weeks of therapy visits, my shoulder is 80% back to my normal movements. I am very pleased with the results and also a firm believer of Bowen Therapy. Severe pain down right side leg. Unable to walk without walking aid. Unable to lay on back & right side. Now aged 91 years old… Lol Can walk without walking aide. Have no pain in right leg or back. September 1993 I was diagnosed with Progressive MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Advised by Doctor of possible future associated failures with different parts of my body. One of these being loss of mobility due to leg failure. July 1997 I was put off work as Disabled. Apart from several other health issues, my legs did not function very well and included great pain. I first went to Setters Health Centre to see if Bowen Therapy might help me. I was in a wheel chair at this stage but with the aid of crutches and support from my wife I was able to shuffle into the surgery. After about an hour of treatment I was able to walk correctly and walk out of the surgery unassisted. I had weekly treatments for about 2 years and found that I could walk OK with the aid of crutches. 19 years later I am still able to walk with the aid of crutches mainly because of very bad balance. A problem that cannot be cured. MY DOCTOR CAN NOT UNDERSTAND HOW I CAN STILL WALK. I AM CONVINCED THAT IT WAS THE BOWEN THERAPY THAT SAVED ME FROM LIFE IN A WHEEL CHAIR.

After numerous visits to other Bowan therapist and getting no relief, I was given the number of Setters Health Centre.
Unable to stand let alone walk properly from an injury to my lower back and shoulder 16 yrs ago. I was getting very concerned I would not be able to attend to my special needs son.
